Sofia and Carl Philip: wedding under the sign of emotion

Sofia and Carl Philip were able to make their wedding an event that resembles them. Thus a ceremony full of emotion, placed under the joint signs of good humor and music, from Bach to Rihanna. Point de Vue says.

And if she did not come? It is 4:30 p.m. ET the door of the royal chapel was closed. In his uniform of the Swedish Navy, Carl Philip just up the nave. The officer looks great prince. Only back to the altar, he deceives his impatience by exchanging hand signals with his niece Leonore, which does not take up on the lap of his father.

For more than half an hour, the small church of rococo was packed with guests robes and ceremonial costumes. In the front row to the right of married, stand the royal guests and their tiaras, more impressive as each other. Between Margrethe of Denmark and Sonja of Norway, that is who has the most flashy dress, bright red for the first and canary yellow for the second. Maxima of the Netherlands and Mathilde of Belgium, came solo, sit side by side. After chained bridal marches of Bach and Handel, the organ was silent. And the silence is heavy while we watch the back of the church in the hope of seeing the bride. The minutes tick Carl Philip became more nervous. Sofia would it have changed your mind?

The couple back tears
But soon the shouts of the crowd, from the outside, reassure him. The door finally opened, revealing the adorable picture of four bridesmaids: Estelle, daughter of Princess Victoria, leads the way in her little white dress with lace sleeves, surrounded by Anaïs and Chloe Sommerlath, cousins Carl Philip, and Tiara Larsson, goddaughter of the bride. Sofia advances in turn to the arms of his father, Erik Hellqvist, accompanied by a cello vibrato.

Wedding 103 years

The centenary Goerge Luckie Kirby and Doreen, 91, has become the world's older boyfriends who decide to marry

Despite being grandparents, George Kirby, 103 years, and Doreen Luckie, 91, did not give up their desire to join in marriage and gave the "yes" on Saturday in Eastbourne (East of England), becoming more married elders of the world.

The two lovebirds were married in a room Langham Hotel in Eastbourne, belonging to Neil, son of George, before family and friends, in a discreet ceremony wanted out.

Doreen, dressed in a white dress with blue floral, rose to kiss her new husband, sitting in a dark suit in a wheelchair with the colors of the Paralympic Games in London 2012.

The pair added 194 years in total, which exceeds the previous record of 191 years that had since 2002 the French François and Madeleine Fernandez Francineau, according to the Guinness Book of Records.

George, Doreen decided to marry after 27 years of living together, "no regrets not having married before me," it told AFP.

"I do not want to worry about before the wedding, but finally we have done," he explained.

No surprise
A similar age marriage could have astonished family and friends, but Doreen says it was not "Georges and I took so much time together that not too surprised when we announce our engagement."

On Tuesday, five days before the wedding, the couple spent a scare when George suffered a fall, but without consequences, his son Neil explained.

It has "some bruises but nothing serious," he explained.

The centenary should be accustomed to blows after a glorious boxing career in which he participated in 60 fights, "all won," Neil tells proudly.

The newlyweds, who "had not prepared anything special for the ceremony," have not "decided yet where to go for the honeymoon," Doreen said.

A gift honeymoon

that is the well of love when asked to answer what they want to do with their wedding kitty.

Your loved ones will surely be delighted to participate in the trip of your dreams but they may have felt like a drop of water among others and it can be frustrating, so we have the solution.

Today we offer you an original way to present your honeymoon project. Rather than request a contribution, the idea is to create a detailed list of your trip: to offer a train ticket, provide ice, provide a night in a hotel, etc.

Anaïs and Laurent had this super cool idea for the trip and had asked their relatives to offer them kilometers (they even made a small video to present this).

To give you a concrete example of what it can give, we created a (small) list for a road trip on the West Coast of the United States.

This way there, your guests can take part (even your little cousin) and feel a little more concerned.

You can go through a site that offers this service as ca-dresses.com, Leetchi, etc.

The interfaces are very well done and you can create forms for each activity.

Another alternative, compile this list and present it on the day of your wedding, beside your casket (incidentally, it offers a nice DIY on the subject) and provide little cards on which your guests indicate the subject of participation "good for surf lessons," "good for an ice", etc.

.

We find this really great idea, it changes what we usually see and it surely amuse your friends and family to see much they can offer you an ice cream or a ride on a Ferris wheel, as if they were with you .

What do you think? What is your honeymoon destination?

A club for all mankind: Sampling the Valley’s best unpretentious hangs

CARLOS’N CHARLIE’S Ever since LGBT-themed burger bar Hamburger Mary’s closed in the early ’00s, we’ve been waxing nostalgic for a kitschy, tropical restaurant to step up and fill the void. Our wish was finally granted this month when the Mexican grill inside the Flamingo launched its new weekly outdoor LGBT party, Sunset Sundays, featuring appearances by long-standing drag staple Divas Las Vegas. With no cover and no dress code (plus a $20 all-you-can-drink bar until 2 a.m.), the no-fuss vibe at Carlos’n Charlie’s makes the restaurant and bar an ideal spot to wind down as the weekend comes to close. Bring a few buddies or make a few new ones while throwing back margaritas, noshing on chips and salsa and dancing on the patio—and when you hear the whistle, you better make sure your ass is at the bar, ’cause that free shot has your name on it. Flamingo, 702-522-9254. Monday & Tuesday, 8 a.m.-1 a.m.; Wednesday-Sunday, 8 a.m.-3 a.m. —Leslie Ventura

HAVANA GRILL One by one the dining-room lights wink out, leaving banana-leaf wallpaper washed with specks, squiggles and kaleidoscopes of neon coming from the booth. DJ Krazy eases the Cuban restaurant into its nightclub alter ego with some shimmery EDM, weaving it into traditional salsa, banging reggaeton and stick-in-your-head hip-hop, bouncing from Romania’s Edward Maya to Jamaica’s Ini Kamoze, Bolivia’s Azul Azul to Puerto Rico’s Daddy Yankee. Later in the Saturday night set, singer Gladys will add live talent to the beats making teen girls start conga lines, parents twirl their toddlers and older women dance like it’s four drinks in and 40 years ago. It’s joyous and totally relaxed, like the best wedding reception of your life. But that doesn’t mean you won’t see gorgeous girls in stilettos and sequined booty shorts showing you how cumbia is done. And there is bottle service, but why bother when you can have a table for an $8 mojito? 8878 S. Eastern Ave. #100, 702-932-9310. Live entertainment Friday-Sunday, times vary. —Erin Ryan

FREEZONE It might be the cheap drinks. Or that it’s not somewhere to see and be seen. Or maybe it’s the dancefloor’s communal stripper pole, not strictly reserved for ab-tastic go-gos. Whatever it is, people seem to be comfortable at FreeZone. Just ask any of the girls (or boys!) who attempt their sexydance skills on that pole. And while a lot of the nightlife geared toward the gay community caters to niche communities like bears, Burners and the I’m-Never-Missing-Leg-Day set, you’ll find a more diverse crowd at the Fruit Loop staple. Men, women, young, old, all different scenes and styles and usually every part of the LGBTQ spectrum will be represented, (though the weekly Ladies Night obviously skews one way). So come as you are for the friendly service, fierce drag queens and those inexpensive cocktails. Why not stop in next time on the way to Piranha? The pole’s calling your name. 610 E. Naples Dr., 702-794-2300. 24/7, karaoke Monday & Tuesday; drag shows Wednesday, Friday & Saturday; Latin Night Thursday; Ladies Night Sunday. —Mark Adams

INSERT COIN(S) Frogger is life. Think about it. In the beginning, you realize patience is a virtue, that if you take your time, survey your surroundings and move carefully, everything comes easy. But as you advance through Frogger/life, everything gets complicated and moves faster. If you chill on any lily pad or floating log for too long, a snake could bite you. So it goes at Insert Coin(s), still the most singular and welcoming bar along Fremont East. Sipping on a Red Stripe, browsing the old-school arcade cabinets and mixing it up with friends while mellow hip-hop thumps ... this is the relaxed early vibe. But when the DJ takes over around 10—like Silent John did last week, pushing the pace with funk and soul—it’s time to ditch the joystick and join the nerdy-cute crowd on the dancefloor. If there’s an easier place to have fun Downtown, show me. 512 Fremont St., 702-477-2525. Wednesday-Sunday, 8 p.m.-close. —Brock Radke

REVOLVER The northwest isn’t known for its nightlife, but for country fans, the action is at Revolver at Santa Fe Station. Wear your favorite buffalo plaid tee and put on your best cowboy boots, then get your dance on underneath Delilah, the saloon’s 6-foot mirrored armadillo. On Saturday night, Dee Jay Silver’s on the decks, spinning the latest in chart-topping country, and Revolver offers up plenty of drink specials like $2 drafts, $2 moonshine, Jell-O shots and $2 well drinks for ladies. Got two left feet? Revolver isn’t the best place for the uninitiated, but the country bar offers complimentary line-dancing classes from 8 to 9:30 p.m. every Wednesday and Friday, so you can learn the basics, then show off your new skills to a lucky partner—or at the very least, a big, shiny armadillo. Santa Fe Station, 702-515-4390. Wednesday & Friday-Sunday, 8 p.m.-2 a.m. —LV

‘Vanderpump Rules’ Recap: Scheana & Ariana Hook Up Before The Wedding

Most of the drama occurred during Scheana’s wedding on the Feb. 9 episode of ‘Vanderpump Rules,’ but the night before her big day was pretty scandalous too! In fact, Scheana decided to have one final fling before tying the knot.

Scheana Marie knew she would be spending the rest of her life with Shay, so the night before her wedding — on the Feb. 9 episode of Vanderpump Rules — she jumped into bed with Ariana and had a “scandalous” “final fling!” We’re not joking. Plus, Scheana had a total meltdown when plans for her ceremony went awry.

‘Vanderpump Rules': Scheana & Ariana Hook Up Before Wedding — February 9 Recap

After weeks of anticipation, Vanderpump Rules fans finally got to see Scheana’s wedding unfold. Of course, it took a lot of preparation — and even then, things didn’t go so smoothly.

Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, Jax Taylor celebrated Shay’s last day of freedom by getting haircuts. As they got groomed, they shared their feelings on weddings, babies and the future. Unsurprisingly, most of the guys said they’re in no hurry to get married. (Obviously, Shay is.)

For Scheana, her pre-wedding rituals included bashing Stassi, jumping into bed with Ariana (they passionately kissed!), and asking Kristen to fetch Shay’s gift for her after forgetting it at home.

Once Kristen arrived at the wedding venue, where Scheana and her bridesmaids dresses Online were getting ready, Ariana started throwing a fit. She said she felt “physically” uncomfortable standing in the same room as Kristen. Kristen, of course, devilishly enjoyed every second of it.

Scheana Marie Has A Meltdown At Her Wedding

When the wedding actually started — or tried to — Scheana, who wore a crop top two-piece wedding dress, nearly had a meltdown. As the bride previously told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, a lot of things went wrong on her big day, including the timing of events.

Fairy Godmothers provide wedding for military couple

Planning a wedding is no easy task. Now, imagine trying to plan a wedding while your significant other is deployed to the Middle East! It happens to military couples all the time. Someone in the wedding industry in Minnesota not only noticed, but decided to do something about it.

"You think okay, well, he's going to deploy and I'm going to stay at home and plan our wedding," says Kristin Hendrickson, "That's not the case." "It's very difficult from half-way around the world," chimes in her husband Ben.

Ben is in the Air Force Reserves and was deployed last year. The two decided to say a quick "I do" at Rice Park, in the middle of winter, before he took off.

"While it was a sweet moment, it wasn't everything that we wanted because we didn't have anybody there that we loved," said Kristin.

The idea was that Kristin would plan the "real" wedding while Ben was gone. It just became too much. Luckily, the two love-birds have a fairy Godmother, or Godmothers.

"It's the least we can do for the service they provide our country," says photographer Amy Coppersmith.

Coppersmith, who owns Coppersmith Photography, teamed up with Terri Uy-Lennon of Uy-Lennon Floral & Events to make military wedding dreams come true. The two were working with a bride that just couldn't seem to make the date happen with her fiancé coming and going to war zones.

"Let's just adopt her and make this wedding happen. We called all our friends in the industry and we took her out to coffee and said let us be your fairy Godmothers, let us plan your wedding," says the duo.

Once that was under their belts, it just kind of, well, became a thing. The Fairy Godmother Project Minnesota.

Wedding planners Jenn Rosen and Janea Mitcheltree of RoseTree Events were working with Ben and Kristin when things started to fall apart. The two decided to nominate the couple for the special wedding and they were chosen.

"At that point in my deployment, I was kind of at a down cycle where I was really missing home and my new wife and to get that news was incredible," says Ben Hendrickson.

The group says the typical, low-key, Minnesota wedding dresses online runs about $30,000 these days. That's enough to price a couple right out of their dream day.

"We had already given up on that hope and now they're giving us our dream," says Ben.

The Fairy Godmother Project Minnesota isn't some high-profile non-profit, it's just the brain-child of a couple women who wanted to make a difference. They don't want your money, they want your reception hall, your flowers, and your photographer.

"We reach out to our vendor friends and whoever is able or willing to donate their services, that's how it works," says Terri Uy-Lennon.

Proof that it's no tale...Fairy Godmothers do exist!

Charles Manson calls off wedding after learning his fiance is too evil even for him

Most 80-year-old guys wouldn’t mind having a 27-year-old woman marry them for their body, but this is something else all together. The New York Post brings us word that notorious murder cult leader Charles Manson has apparently called off his wedding with fiance Afton Elaine Burton after learning of her plan to put his corpse on display after his death and charge people money for the right to look at it.

FROM EARLIER: Yet another hugely popular torrent site bites the dust

This new revelation has come to light thanks to an upcoming book about Manson written by journalist Daniel Simone, who tells the Post that Manson eventually realized that he’d been “played for a fool.” Furthermore, Simone informs us that Manson thinks Burton’s idea is “stupid to begin with” because he doesn’t believe he’ll ever die.

According to Simone, Burton and her friend Craig Hammond initially straight-up asked Manson if he would sign over the rights to his body after his death, but he refused. They then realized that if Burton married Manson, she would have the rights to his remains after his death under California law.

However, Simone thinks Manson would never have actually gone through with the wedding anyway, so Burton and Hammond’s scheme may have been doomed from the start.

Mick and Jean Bardsley celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on January 7

WHEN Mick Bardsley first set eyes on his wife Jean as a teenager he quickly claimed her as his own and has not let her go since.

The Oakdale couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on January 7, which is one of the longest marriages in the region.

They held a party at the Oakdale Workers Club to honour their marriage milestone with their family.

Women in the family wore frangipani’s in their hair and Mrs Bardsley wore a frangipani corsage to signify her wedding day bouquet.

“I married such a beautiful person and am lucky to have such a lovely life and family,” Mrs Bardsley, 83, said. “I just love Mick to bits. My husband had the loveliest mother and I adored her but most people wouldn’t say that about their mother-in-laws.”

The pair met at a bush dance in Oakdale when Mrs Bardsley was 16 years old.

“We met at the Oakdale dance and the romance began there,” Mr Bardsley, 88, said. “I saw her sitting in the corner and had my eye on her and thought I better chat her up before anyone else does.”

The blue sapphire duo married at St Paul’s Catholic Church in Camden on January 7, 1950, and in 1954, they moved to Oakdale on five acres.

Mr Bardsley was a fitter in the mines and his wife was an assistant in nursing, a barmaid and a factory worker.

“We are very happily married. We have known each other for about 70 years and are very lucky to have each other,” Mr Bardsley said.

“We go everywhere together. We go to the local club and the movies. We always hold hands because if I let go, Jean wants to go shopping wedding dresses online.”

When asked what their secret to a successful marriage was, Mr Bardsley said: “The arguments are forgotten before we leave the room. We never hold any grudges.”

Mrs Bardsley’s advice for the younger generation is:

“When you get married, you should think it is forever and not any other way. As long as you’re happy.”

The pair enjoy gardening, going to the club and the movies.”

The couple have five children, Michelle, Michael, Vicki, Patrick and Terry, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Wedding Crashers You Would Not Kick Out

These are some wedding crashers that brides wish would pay an uninvited visit to their big day.

For their new music video, Maroon 5 crashed the wedding receptions of several couples around Los Angeles unexpectedly and serenaded the bride and groom with their new single "Sugar."

The video starts off with the band looking dodgy in their suits and sunglasses, loading their instruments into a convertible and a dark van. Frontman Adam Levine explains that it is Dec. 6, 2014, and they are going to hit every wedding they possibly can.

The cameras then follow the band sneaking into the weddings and setting up makeshift stages with a curtain. Many of the guests and coordinators are shown to be miffed and confused at the unexpected construction plans. The band pushes the patience of the possible bride-zillas to pull off their stunt.

Images : Cheap Bridesmaid Dresses Online - Ca-dresses.com

At the opportune moment when the wedding party is distracted, the band members waltz in and take their spots on stage. The curtain drops, and everybody goes wild as the band plays their new single.

The video was directed by David Dobkin, the same man behind the 2005 film starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, Wedding Crashers.

Although some online commenters are saying that the Maroon 5 wedding crashing video must have been fake or staged, Levine maintains that it took a lot of preparation to put it together.

"It was a lot of fun. It was really stressful to arrange all of it but it was super fun. I'm happy that everybody liked it ... It felt good to kind of surprise these people and make them happy. Happy that they liked our band too. It would have been a total disaster [if not]," he said at the recent Golden Globe Awards night.

Katy Perry also had a party crashing concept for the music video for her song "Birthday," where she donned different disguises and crashed the birthday parties of several peple as the world's worst party entertainers.

Big Wedding or Small?

In Mandy Len Catron’s Modern Love essay, “To Fall in Love With Anyone, Do This,” she refers to a study by the psychologist Arthur Aron (and others) that explores whether intimacy between two strangers can be accelerated by having them ask each other a specific series of personal questions. The 36 questions in the study are broken up into three sets, with each set intended to be more probing than the previous one.

The idea is that mutual vulnerability fosters closeness. To quote the study’s authors, “One key pattern associated with the development of a close relationship among peers is sustained, escalating, reciprocal, personal self-disclosure.” Allowing oneself to be vulnerable with another person can be exceedingly difficult, so this exercise forces the issue.

The final task Ms. Catron and her friend try — staring into each other’s eyes for four minutes — is less well documented, with the suggested duration ranging from two minutes to four. But Ms. Catron was unequivocal in her recommendation. “Two minutes is just enough to be terrified,” she told me. “Four really goes somewhere.”

Set I

1. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?

2. Would you like to be famous? In what way?

3. Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why?

4. What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?

5. When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?

6. If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the mind or body of a 30-year-old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want?

7. Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die?

8. Name three things you and your partner appear to have in common.

9. For what in your life do you feel most grateful?

10. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?

11. Take four minutes and tell your partner your life story in as much detail as possible.

12. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?

Set II

13. If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself, your life, the future or anything else, what would you want to know?

14. Is there something that you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it?

15. What is the greatest accomplishment of your life?

16. What do you value most in a friendship?

17. What is your most treasured memory?

18. What is your most terrible memory?

19. If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? Why?

20. What does friendship mean to you?

21. What roles do love and affection play in your life?

22. Alternate sharing something you consider a positive characteristic of your partner. Share a total of five items.

23. How close and warm is your family? Do you feel your childhood was happier than most other people’s?

24. How do you feel about your relationship with your mother?

Set III

25. Make three true “we” statements each. For instance, “We are both in this room feeling ... “

26. Complete this sentence: “I wish I had someone with whom I could share ... “

27. If you were going to become a close friend with your partner, please share what would be important for him or her to know.

28. Tell your partner what you like about them; be very honest this time, saying things that you might not say to someone you’ve just met.

29. Share with your partner an embarrassing moment in your life.

30. When did you last cry in front of another person? By yourself?

31. Tell your partner something that you like about them already.

32. What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about?

33. If you were to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why haven’t you told them yet?

34. Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be? Why?

35. Of all the people in your family, whose death would you find most disturbing? Why?

36. Share a personal problem and ask your partner’s advice on how he or she might handle it. Also, ask your partner to reflect back to you how you seem to be feeling about the problem you have chosen.

Couple moves wedding because of Obama's golf game

Whenever a president visits a place, the Secret Service moves people away -- even when it's a golf course, and a wedding is involved.

President Obama phoned an Army couple who had planned to be married Sunday at the 16th tee box at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course in Hawaii, but had to move the ceremony because the president played there that day.

Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr. -- both Army captains -- wound up getting married on a lawn near the home of the commanding officer of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Bloomberg News reports.

In his phone call, Obama "apologized and congratulated them," said Jamie McCarthy, Mallue's sister, to Bloomberg, adding that it was a "wonderful talk."

The golf course is apparently a popular wedding site because of spectacular mountain views.

Also from Bloomberg:

"It was the second time that day that the couple heard from the nation's commander in chief, whose affinity for golf has, at times, caused political headaches for the White House.

"Stationed in Hawaii and knowing the president spends his Christmas holiday on the islands, they invited him to their ceremony on a lark. They had received a letter earlier on Saturday saying Obama regretted he couldn't come and wishing them happiness on their wedding day."

High drama at Juju’s wedding

Sipho Masondo and Poloko Tau, City Press

Johannesburg - Julius Malema’s traditional wedding to Mantwa Matlala this weekend was full of the bling and drama expected from the charismatic and controversial leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

Before the big day, Malema bought his bride an expensive engagement ring glittering with blue diamonds, a source said on condition of anonymity.

The source said three weeks ago, Malema and his bride-to-be’s friends organised a grand surprise bridal shower for her at The Saxon Hotel in Sandton.

                          Bridesmaid dresses Canada

“There were about 15 ladies at the event. They were entertained by male strippers prancing up and down and stripping to the point of being almost naked.

“Prized Champagne was flowing and good fun was had by all. Obviously, she received many gifts from the friends,” said the source.
But not all of Malema’s close friends were celebrating with him this weekend – there had been a fallout over money.

City Press heard that Malema did not invite two of his closest friends, Collins Foromo and Jacob Lebogo, to the ceremony which started on Saturday and ended today in Malema’s home town of Seshego, Polokwane.

Not a typical township wedding

On Saturday, Malema’s convoy of flashy German sedans could be heard from a distance, hooting as it snaked through Seshego Zone 1 to Matlala’s parents’ house.

Although he could not be clearly identified through the tinted windows of a gold Mercedes-Benz E-Class, a security official said Malema had been in the car leading the convoy.

He was sitting in the back with his grandmother, Sarah Malema, while his 8-year-old son, Ratanang, sat in front.

Locals crowded the street outside the Matlalas’ double-storey home dubbed “Shoprite” because of its size.

They were hoping to catch a glimpse of Malema and Matlala dancing to traditional songs after exchanging vows, but his was not to be a typical township wedding attended by all.

Security was tight around the Matlala house, the huge air-conditioned white marquee erected next to it and a security checkpoint 250m away.

Guards were dressed in black suits, white shirts and red ties.

Countless people were turned away as their names did not appear on the list, including members of the bride’s church and staunch EFF supporters in red berets.

Resplendent bride

Most community members were happy to stand at the checkpoint and greet famous faces.

They included EFF chairperson Dali Mpofu, Malema’s lawyer Tumi Mokwena – who arrived in a traditional Zulu leopard skin – former Muvhango actress Lerato Moloi, former Limpopo premier Cassel Mathale and former MECs Pinky Kekana and Clifford Motsepe.

An unknown trio of guests arrived in a helicopter accompanied by bodyguards. including one carrying an automatic rifle. They landed 1km away and were driven to the venue in a Golf 7.

Inside the venue Matlala – surrounded by female friends and family – arrived in a burst of colour.

She was resplendent in a layered fuchsia tulle skirt and navy bodice with traditional detailing. A beaming Malema was more modestly dressed, in revolutionary chic, in a simple unembellished blue dashiki.

But outsiders couldn’t see a thing because the marquee was surrounded by a blue fence – even its windows were draped shut.

At a house across the road, a group of women sat ululating and singing along to traditional wedding songs played inside the marquee.

Others were hanging from fences and standing on the back of bakkies hoping to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds.

The wedding was also about who wasn’t there, most notably Foromo and Lebogo.

Foromo is a wealthy tenderpreneur, while Lebogo, a former ANC Youth League secretary in Limpopo, runs an adult shop in the Polokwane city centre.

The two stood by Malema when he was axed from the ANC in 2011, when he started the EFF last year and during his woes with the SA Revenue Service.

One source, who is friends with both men, said: “I can tell you now, there is no way that Jacob and Collins … can go to that wedding. He did not invite them.

“They were closer than his family.”

However, Foromo’s business partner, Charles Rampura, told City Press by phone that he was at the wedding. He said this even before any questions were posed to him.

'I don't know why they fought'

“I’m at the wedding and I’m entering the marquee as we speak, but I can’t talk to you now. Please call me later in the evening,” he said.

Foromo and Lebogo could not be reached for comment.

Another source close to Foromo, who works for one of his many companies, said: “I know for sure that he [Foromo] … is not going.

“I never thought that his friendship with Malema could end this way. They were friends and were always together.”

Another source said: “I don’t know the finer details, but I know that Collins and Jacob fought with Malema and he decided not to invite them to his wedding. I don’t know why they fought.”

Limpopo’s wedding of the year was designed and managed by Two Way Exhibitions & Events and the marquees were sourced from Western Cape-based Downings Marquee Hiring.

Neighbours said a horse and trailer were seen delivering alcohol at the Matlala home on Christmas Day.

Meanwhile, at the other end of Zone 1, workers on Saturday were putting the finishing touches to another huge marquee blocking the street in front of Malema’s grandmother’s double-storey house.

This is where the second party of the wedding had taken place on Sunday.

The word on the street was that Malema’s family had requested that he should dance in the street with his new wife at his house – as is the norm at an African traditional wedding.

This is where perhaps the community will finally get a glimpse of the EFF leader and his new wife.

Stunning sleeveless white gown at sunset beach ceremony

As a former Sports Illustrated model, Angie Everhart is used to being the belle of the ball.

And the 45-year-old effortlessly wowed guests in a stunning white gown, when she exchanged vows with Carl Ferro on November 5 in Santa Monica, California.

In newly unveiled snapshots, Angie cuts a radiant figure as she links arms - and locks lips - with Carl, president and co-founder of nutrition company Sunfare.

The bride wore a strapless lace dress with a tulle skirt and sweetheart neckline, showing off toned décolletage as she made her way down the aisle after her bridesmaids, who included model Sandra Taylor, resplendent in a black gown.

Her famously red hair was tied back to accommodate her long veil, which met the train of her dress as it swept along the ground.

Standing tall in a pair of silver heels, Angie accessorised with a pair of diamond earrings and a matching necklace with a pendant, as she held a beautiful bouquet of white roses.

And the ceremony, which attracted an array of onlookers, was decorated with a white aisle and large floral arrangements with white roses as guests looked on from gold seating.

At one point, Angie was seen laughing with her husband-to-be, who looked dapper in a black tuxedo, as she struggled to get her veil under control mid-ceremony.

Shortly before the wedding, the new Mrs. Ferro tweeted, 'My family is in town.. So good to see my sister. Happy to become a Mrs. F ... He is my Man', about her beloved groom.

The ceremony comes as extra good news for Angie, who recently overcame a battle with thyroid cancer.

Her spokesperson said: 'Now able to work again, she is confident that the restructuring will get her back on her feet financially.'

The Take Me Home Tonight star was declared cancer-free after a successful surgery for her cancer in May.

Just a month before her surgery, in April, she spoke to TMZ shortly after Carl popped the question as it was revealed that he proposed in an elevator.

‘It happened in the elevator, believe it or not,’ Carl told the website while his bride-to-be flashed her ginormous cushion cut diamond ring.

But Angie was quick to explain that it wasn’t a random spot to pick and in fact couldn’t have been much more romantic.

‘He actually asked me where he first kissed me,’ she revealed, which was at the Redbury Hotel in Hollywood.

This is second trip down the aisle for Angie, who was married to singer Ashley Hamilton for just four months after tying the knot in 1996.

Angie is mother to four-your-old son Kayden from a relationship with actor Chad Stansbury, while Carl has an eight-year-old daughter from a past relationship.
